Our Story
Meet Zik Nwanganga
Zik Nwanganga is a Nigerian immigrant and UMKC alumnus whose journey from Aba, Nigeria to Kansas City shaped his passion for entrepreneurship, storytelling, and inclusion. Driven by a commitment to inspire young people to discover their passion, he has built platforms that provide access to resources, opportunities, and community.
In 2019, he launched the FiredUpKC podcast, which grew into FiredUp Studios, a production company helping brands and entrepreneurs share their stories. He later created City Entrepreneur, a Netflix-style talk show spotlighting diverse founders making an impact in their communities.
Today, Zik is the CEO of the City Entrepreneur Foundation, using storytelling to amplify underrepresented voices in entrepreneurship, and the co-founder and CEO of Ulom, a platform that helps migrants, refugees, and international students access jobs, transportation, language support, and community.
